DSC02917 (Large)On Tuesday night I came home to an overjoyed Doug …. his stitches were out and he’s on the way to recovery, things are all falling into place in our life and it’s so nice to see him so happy. Apparently this means I get flowers…

In the kitchen I was greeted by a gorgeous bouqet of colourful flowers to brighten up the dreary London days. They fill our little flat with a beautiful smell and remind me of how much my fiance loves me…. (soppy, but hey we’re getting married soon!!) :)

IMG_1070 (Large)Last weekend, Jodie and I visited the Imperial War Museum. It was a typical miserable London day, wind and rain in abundance, so it was best to choose an indoor activity. On the ground floor of the museum were numberous tanks and mobile guns, along with an exhibition of the “My boy Jack” series, soon to start on BBC. The museum seemed to cover all the wars of the last century. A special section on D-day and World War II was of special interest. We also viewed the “Crimes against humanity” section, as well as the “Holocaust” section. Some images were quite disturbing, as were the replays of WW II survivors’ interviews. The Auswitch display, which included a model of the entire site was impressive. It could take days to concentrate and see everything.

IMG_1053 (Large)Scott was travelling around the world courtesy of Rio Tinto. Scotty added a day to his trip for a quick visit, as we missed each other in Aus. It was great to catch up, with a few beers and lunch the following day at Spice Island.
